Pros Previous experiences with quite expensive electric shavers have not been good. Had this shaver about 2 years and it is shaving as well as the day I got it.
Cons A bit awkward to pack for travel compared to rectangular ones, but the foil is tough enough to withstand frequent cramming into bags etc. I sense the charge may not last quite as long now but not certain - it still goes 6-7 days and charges quickly.
Summary Extremely impressed at the value for money - better than some I have had at three times the price. I was an undecided user of electric razors - kept trying one then switching back to hand razors - but will certainly keep with this one. I have an average beard and use it daily, dry. A very fussy friend with a much heavier beard who doesn't always shave daily also bought one on my recommendation after disappointment with many electrics - he is also a convert - but finds it best to use it wet.
Pros close, irritation free shave!
Cons can't think of any...
Summary I have very sensitive skin and have tried every shaving method there is. I have been wet shaving for over a year using various DE (safety razors). I used to use Braun foil shavers in the past, but never wet and they irritated my neck. The new Panasonic wet/dry shavers are awesome. Using this razor wet, with a quality shave cream or soap, I can actually get a closer shave than with a DE razor and a blade with absolutely no irritation. This is the best bang for the buck electric out there. You can pay more for the self cleaning model (ES8109S) of the very same razor. It is not too hard to put a few drops of soft soap on the razor and turn it on for a few seconds after each use. I love this razor!
