Verizon V Cast

Pros: Fast, fast fast!

Cons: No streaming video, can't transfer music downloads to iPod

Summary: The biggest problem w/ VCast is no streaming video! I don't understand why they are not using Thin Media who provides the video software for carriers in South Korea & Japan who are running the ultra-fast EV/DO technology...

Additionally, if you download full music tracks, according to the VZW rep in the store I went to, you CANNOT transfer these tracks to your iPod...

So why bother? Just download from iTunes at home & carry your iPod or Shuffle instead... If I were VZW, I would be banging down the doors of Motorola to be the first w/ the iTunes handset... But alas, VZW will probably let Cingular have the first shot at that, just like w/ the Mot Razr V3....

A contact told me that Verizon Wireless did a deal w/ Microsoft to block other software apps from their 3G service... Can anyone out there confirm? I did notice there is no support from VZW for the Apple Powerbook w/ their EV/DO data cards... So I had to return mine after a curt response from customer service saying they don't support Apple...
