Apple TV OS 9.2 gets folders and voice dictation (pictures)
The latest version of Apple TV is now available to download, along with an array of welcome enhancements.
Apple TV update 9.2
Version 9.2 includes enhancements such as better voice search and dictation, sorting by folders and photo integration.
Folders
You can now group shortcuts together into folders, which is something you've been able to do for years on iPhones and iPads.
Drag to create folders
To create a folder, simply hold down the first shortcut you want to move and then drag it onto another shortcut. For example, you could drag Netflix onto Hulu.
Search app store using voice
Hold down the microphone button in the app store and simply say the name of the app you're looking for.
...But it doesn't always work properly
Sometimes it tries to search the Web if it can't find your search term. Not always successfully.
iCloud Photo Library and Live Photos support
The new software also allows the Apple TV to display all of the photos stored in your iCloud Photo library.
iCloud Photo
This is a change from previous versions of Apple TV. The set-top box could only access Photo Stream photos in the past, and these would expire after a set period.
