Samsung Galaxy S
The Samsung Galaxy S is a new Google Android device that will be coming to North America as well as other parts of the world this summer. The smartphone will ship with Android 2.1.
Smart Life
Samsung used the term "Smart Life" to explain the user experience on the Galaxy S. It includes user-defined daily briefings for instant access to information that's important to you (news, weather, appointments, etc.), location-based search options, and a Layar Reality Browser that allows you to view augmented reality content.
Social Hub
Like the Samsung Wave, the Galaxy S is also meant to be a social hub and integrates contact information and messages from various accounts and provide a unified view.
Super AMOLED touch screen
The Samsung Galaxy S boasts a 4-inch Super AMOLED touch screen, which has better touch sensitivity, wider viewing angles, and are less reflective than regular screens.
Features
Other highlights of the device include Bluetooth 3.0, a 5-megapixel camera, a Swype keyboard, Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology for inter-device connectivity, and a choice of an 8GB or 16GB model.
