  • "The greatest baseball game ever - Extremely fun."
    on by PCgoneMac

    Pros -Extremely fun to play
-HUGE variety of teams, stadiums, modes
    -Fun mini games
    -Okay music ;)
    -Easy to learn
    -Fairly easy to play
    -Great umpires and commentators
-Inclusion of the best in the history of U.S. Baseball (the Legends & Heroes)
    -Interface

Cons -Cannot get MVP Points unless you unlock an accomplishment
    -Specific AAA stadiums not here
    -Terribly animated crowds

Summary I have had this game for years. It is my favorite game. The commentators are hilarious. You gotta love it when a player slides right through an infielder as if he were a ghost. You can really tell just how much work was put into this game. It includes A, AA, AAA, and MLB teams all already unlocked, including 2005's All Star teams. TheHeroes and Legends, a compilation of the greatest athletes the game has ever seen (Babe Ruth, Nolan Ryan, Joe DiMaggio to name a few), can be unlocked through winning MVP points.
Most of the animations are accurate. Many players' faces are accurate, most of the batting stances and windups are accurate. Regular and Historical stadiums, such as Sportsman's Park and the Polo Grounds are well animated, and I like how the screen acts like an old camera whenever you play at an Historical Stadium. The purchasable Jerseys, Legends and Heroes and Historic Stadiums are just great.
All of the modes are fun. This game is well worth it. It has provided me NUMEROUS hours of entertainment. The BIGGS does not even compare. This game is simple and fun, with hardly any flaws.
For information on how to unlock all unlockables without purchase, see IGN.

  • "Much better then 2004"
    on

Pros More Difficult, Owner Mode is amazing , Everything is better

Cons i have found nothing wrong with it so far

  • "Not bad for basically being the only choice for the Gamecube"
    on by mctavern

Pros Excellent pitching and fielding controls, great extra features like head to head homerun hitting

Cons No bat location cursor, no regular homerun derby, and no built in senerios

Summary All in all a good game but I prefer the hitting styles of All Star baseball better, shame the didn't make that for the game cube this year
