Pros Graphics, Speed
Cons None so far
Summary A very spectacular addition to the series. Xenosaga Episode III delivers all of the conclusions I've been waiting for and preparing for. With better graphics, along with KOS-MOS' original VA from the first game, this is a must-have if you plan to continue this series. It comes with a synopsis of the series storyline to date, including an overview of the missed year between this and Episode II. Battles in this game were significantly sped up since the previous game as well.
Pros Unbelievable story. Great gameplay. Leaves you wishing they made another three sequels beyond this.
Cons Highly religious overtones might upset some. Lack of blood leads to a few awkward cutscenes.
Summary The 3rd and final (?) Chapter of the Xenosaga series is in my opinion the best of the three (1 being 2nd and 2 being 3rd). The questions left from 1 and 2 are finally answered through an unbelieveable story and gripping gameplay. Long gone are the sequence break attacks of 2, to be replaced by menu driven turned based battle system which is easy for newcomers to grasp and a favorite of longtime RPG'ers. The cutscenes are crisp and pletiful for those who enjoy story driven RPG's. One of the more unique compliments I have heard from this game are some RPG's have special effects and unbelievable fights in cutscense that never transfer over to the battle system; but in this installment, the tech attacks and special attacks of human battle and the anima awakenings and the flyaround melee attacks of ES battle more than satisfy. A great game, highly recommended. Although buying the first two and playing them through wouldn't hurt this gaming experience either!
