"Great Gameplay but new yet old ideas."
Pros: This game is run on the same engine as cod 4 so the gameplay is excelent.
One of the only WW2 games to play the pacfic theater.
Online is the best of anygame.Cons: As of right now the online has some lag that cod 4 didn't have hopefully that will be fixed.
Summary: When I first heard this game was coming out I knew I had to get it. I loved CoD 4 and I love WW 2 games. But I just got it today and have just played online so far and I have to say the quality was a little disapointing. I never had problems with lag online with Cod 4 so I knew it wasn't my internet connection. Also the graphics dont look as good as CoD 4 for some reason. I don't know if thats the way they wanted it to be so it would look older but it just doesn't seem as realistic. Enough of the bad they is a lot of good. There is a nice selection on guns and cusmoazations. I only like that they have tanks in one map. The maps are all very different and fun to play in. Everything was really great I just wasn't happy with the graphics so thats why I gave it 4 stars.
Some people might not like the old WW2 setting.

Treyarch using using their "lobby" style server environment, which accounts for some of the lag. Unlike in COD4 when a host leaves the game and everyone gets kicked out of the game, COD:WAW is designed to get a new host, allowing users to stay in the lobby or continue the game. I play COD4 and COD:WAW like a ritual on the little free time I have, and lag is very similar. I would rather have the 5 minutes of lag while changing host or kicking a dial-up/slow player than the game to suddenly end, no points received, and having to start all over. Treyarch will get us a patch out there and the lag will be decreased. Did you play COD4 when it first cam out? It was like playing Halo 3 big team battle on a college holiday - lag, lag lag! The reason the graphics look "odd" is that the closeness we had in COD4 is gone, and we have an open, detailed, and graphic environment. The player "personal area" has been expanded. Treyarch went wild on the environment and did a excellent job in detail.
