The best way to enjoy your PS3 and not buy gamesby Koolaidman94 - September 13, 2010
Pros: The best way to meet people. Plenty of games to play, like bowling. You can launch games and have people join you. You can learn about new Sony releases. Game-launching.
Cons: The LONG time it takes to start-up. Only a few, if any, moderators to watch for people who are breaking the rules (you can still use the 'safe screen' to report people who are distruptive).
Review: While the main focus of the PS3 are the games, Home does provide a place for people to meet new friends (most of mine I met on Home) and get a few people together to start a game like LittleBIGplanet. Game-launching can be done anywhere, your personal space, the central plaza, even your friends space. The amount of general stuff to do, besides talk to people, is quite large. One could easily spend an afternoon or even an entire day, hanging out in Home. There are places like the bowling alley, where you can play bowling, pool, and a few mini arcade-style games. There is the mall, which is basically a bunch of stores where you can buy stuff for Home and play chess. The playground (no not like the one at the park) where you can play a game of H-O-R-S-E, and listen to music. And finally, the epicenter of it all... the Central Plaza. Here you can visit the mall, bowling alley, or the newest place. You can also dance to some music and play Saucer-pop. So to wrap it all up, Playstation Home is like Kaneva for the Playstation, with games, goodies, and people! This is a good reason to get a PS3!
