Summary: Everything about this game is very good for gamers who love creativeness of Ratchet and Clank and the fire power of Halo. The graphics are very good and the load time is minimal. Unlike games in the past, you can rearrange the controller layout. This is unfortunately uncommon in most games, and is very useful if you are used to other games.

Summary: I was not sure about this game when I first heard about it. It's Call of Duty, Halo and Quake all wrapped into one. At first I thought, ahhh another shooter but this game is extremely fun. Before I started playing this I was playing Gears Of War for my Xbox360 and I thought it could not get better. Once I started playing Resistance I was hooked. The actual game is long, very long which is nice for a change and even more surprising...its excellent. A lot of games now are short and feel incomplete but not this one. I also very impressed with the graphics. There was times as I was going through the game and I would stop just to look around. Very sharp, vivid colors and excellent sound. The weapons are great also. It took Xbox360 to put out a game like Gears Of War and this game which came out on the Playstation 3 launch day is right there with it.

Pros: PLOT, AMBIENCE, SOUND: GAMEPLAY
Cons: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE
Summary: This was not my first pick game.But when i chose to rent it off holywood video, it felt just right. I loaded that baby up and felt that "happy gamer" feeling inside. The backgrounds were not JUST backgrounds it felt like and actual ambience. No other game has ever made me be so aware of the sorroundings. it was like i was in the game. You use anything and everything to cover yourself. and the chimera A.I. is outstanding! They react to your movements and choices very well. From the get-go the game just starts you into battle, and your weapons seem to become your best friend, so much that you become triggger happy within the first 5 minutes of playing. I highly recommend this title to everyone.

Pros: Excellent Weapons, Nice Graphics, Good Story, 40 Player Online
Cons: Not enough Sixaxis Implementation.
Summary: This game looks awesome. This game kicks its butt on ambiance.
There is so much going on. On the 360 I thought the Backgrounds were better than Last Gen but now on the PS3 I am starting to see improvements beyond that. For instance in Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter you can see other parts of the city in the background. Well in Resistance, not only can I see parts of the City in the background, but I can see things happening over there as well. There are explosions, and smoke, and Flames, and Birds, and Planes... This to me is the Way cool Factor.
Then in another level, I think it was the 2nd one. There is a bunch of brush and trees. The brush, grass, and trees all sway in the wind independently, Heck I bet the Even tasked a Processor just to handle things in the wind. You stare out in front of yourself and it is just awesome watching the Background just coming alive.
The Enemy AI is Very Good.
They Take Cover, Flank, Find different ways to come after you.
40 Players online. Holy $&#*. Gears only has 8 Players. Why am I paying $50 a year for XBox Live??? I thought Xbox Live was supposed to be so much better... and the best we can do is 8...
The Different modes are all pretty good.
The Weapons are a nice variety and all very cool. They all seem to have a purpose and are usable even the end levels. The Auger is useful for taking out chimera operating turrets. The M5A1 is useful for almost everything. The Shotgun is great in Close Quarters. The Bullseye allows you to Tag an enemy and keep running while you pump them full of Lead.
Boss battles are exhilarating.
Sometimes I just like to stand around and shoot the glass or stare at the water, because it is done very well. The Glass breaks in a different way for a Rifle Butt than a shot from a gun. Every time you hit the glass it breaks away in a realistic fashion.
The Sound I thought was done pretty well. Even on my TV Speakers the Voices would seem to surround me. I never got Lost because I could just turn in the Direction of where the War is going on.
Vehicles are very Nice. The Gamespot Reviewer complained that the Vehicles were to Powerful, but it did not bother me at all. Heck, after getting my butt kicked by the AI for a couple of hours, a vehicle that allows me to rule the roost for a couple of minutes is a nice way to go... Blow up window... Blow Up Bus... Blow up Car... Fun stuff
The Gamespot Reviewer called the Visuals "Derivative visual style" in my opinion it is the same Derivative that Gears of War is sporting around. It is that Grey and Brown tone graphics that gives you that War feel. I feel it works very well. Oh Yeah, one more cool thing... If you kill the Chimera there Cooling Life support Tubes will pop out if you hit them from the side or the back, then they will flop around blowing out coolant for a few seconds until it runs out, Very nice touch. -

Pros: graphics, sound, use of the cell processor
Cons: none other than me having trouble beating single player
Summary: This was not my first choice game, but then i downloaded the demo from the PS3 store and WOW! The demo was only 2 level but i couldnt put it down. I played just the demo for 2 hour straight. I beat it over and over again, and i never lost intrest, so what do i do? I went to the store and bought it the very next day. From what I've played so far, it is great and has a very interesting story line. I havnt tryed it online yet (cuz i dont want to get owned).
Final thought: I learned to download demos. Although they take long to download and unfortunatly right now on the ps3 you can't do anything else while you are downloading, it is worth it to get a look at the game.
