Pros Extra Pen Nibs + Felt Nib + Stroke Nib, Ergonomic Grip, Key Shortcuts
Cons If you've got a keyboard above the tablet without a palm rest you're bound to press a button or two with one of the tablet's key shortcuts
Summary Impressive Tablet! Has more pressure sensitivity than the Graphire Models. I've previously owned a Graphire2 4x5 so it took me a while to get used to a larger 6x8.
Also comes with 3 extra nibs, a felt nib, and a stroke nib so you have more options.
I tend to rest my palm on the touch sensitive zoom in/out (page up/down) strip on the tablet once in a while and its a bit annoying at times but its not that big a deal.
Hand doesn't get as tired as much in opposition towards a mouse.
Perfect for intermediates and professionals, if you live in a world of serious photography, painting and/or 3d modelling/sculpting, then this tool is a must.
Pros The pen and tablet provide an extremely detailed and exact way for both drawing, editing and every day tasks. Personally I prefer cursor control using the pen over the mouse.
Cons The included touch mouse is next to worthless compared to my optical mouse. And because of the texture of the tablet I am unable to use my mouse on the actual device. Adding to the required space.
Summary I have very few qualms with my tablet. It works perfectly and produces some of the best editing I have ever been able to do. My art work is more detailed and crisp.
I was originally planning on getting a Graphire3 of the same size. After much thought and some heartache over the price. I broke down and bought the Intuos. After comparing them in the local show room, the Intuos just felt better, and the on-tablet controls make it all the more useful.
I am extremely happy with the quality of the product as a whole.
Pros perfect size, valuable software, optional pen nibs included
Cons if you have never owned one, it takes a bit to get used to
Summary I am very pleased with this product. At first it seemed awkward, but it gets easier exponentially every time you use it again. The posibilities of working with the stylus rather than mouse are endless. If you have art in mind, there is no other substitute.
