"Not good enough to keep" on by bmilkman
Pros: Very good alarm functionality, lots of presets
Cons: Poor audio quality. Mediocre reception, especially with HD
Summary: The sound quality of this radio is so poor that it makes me question your objectivity (or competence to rate such a product). I felt the same way when you referred to another Cambridge radio, the model 735, as "sweet sounding." That was another product I ordered, and then returned. I may be spoiled: I've lived with the model 88, Cambridge's original tabletop radio, for some years. The products they've produced since simply don't compare; frequency response is much constricted compared with the original. As for HD reception, I live in downtown Brooklyn, a location which I feel ought to
afford far better reception than I'm getting.
A major disappointment. -
