"Now has equalizer!" on by brsnyder

    Pros: Responsive online support forum

    Cons: None as yet

Summary: I just ordered mine, so can't really review it yet. (I had to enter a rating, so picked what I thought I'd wind up with.) But before purchasing, I hunted around and found what looks like a fantastic support forum. That's where I learned that a recent firmware update provides an equalizer, which I thought was worth mentioning here. The forum site is http://www.ibizarhapsodyforum.com. From the forum:

    In this release:
    · New equalizer control (yes they are presets)
    · New backlight level control
    · Podcast episodes can resume where left off
    · Performance improvements with a lot of media on the player
    · Performance improvements when listening to audio
    · Shorter boot time
    · Improved reliability when listening to music
    · Some improvements to Bluetooth quality (better, but not perfect)
    · General reliability and usability improvements

After mine arrives, I'll try to edit this review and add more feedback. But to me, having a good user forum adds to a product's quality.

"I have used them all and nothing touched this." on

Pros: Best implementation of Rhapsody out there. Use of Wifi allows you to do everything without a PC or laptop. Interface is intuitive and most advanced as compared to Zune and IPod. Software designers have continually improved it from customer feedback.

Cons: Not many accessories. Not well known brand so there is unecessary hesitation to buy.

Summary: To have constant access to millions of songs without computers, to create custon Rhapsody channels, to utilize its bluetooth for headphones and speakers, to have it constantly update itself, it does have an equalizer now, though the sound is so terrific it doesn't need one, a superb FM radio, photos, AOL video, podcasts with seamless updating...sorry, I have put my Ipod classic and Zune in a drawer. This unit is truly a generation ahead with complete access of millions of songs at your fingertips at home and on the road.

"Best Mp3 player I have ever owned" on by respibob

Pros: WIFI, FM radio, Bluetooth capable, works with Rhapsody

Cons: Sluggish at times when downloading, no bookmark for video

Summary: I have had this player for a week and I am loving it. You can hook up wirelessly to Rhapsody Music service (must have a subscription) and download music without ever touching a computer. You can also stream Rhapsody channels and with one click save any song you hear directly to player. It also plays video, has a great FM tuner, touchpad interface and podcast support (it will download them wirelessly and keep them updated automatically). The only downside and it is a small one to me is that the interface gets a little sluggish when downloading and listening to music at the same time but it is still very useable then. Overall, the best and most feature packed mp3 player I have ever had. If you have Rhapsody and wireless in your home you can't pass this up.
