"Works well, but be warned...not as flexible as review implies"
Pros: Dirt simple setup, pairs quickly when used, high quality, small form factor
Cons: The RX (receiver) MUST be plugged into a powered dock. So unless your stereo system has an ipod cradle you can't just hook it up and use the RX line-out connection.
Summary: I bought this after reading the Cnet review because I wanted something to wirelessly stream in stereo from the computer to my home audio system or to the older patio/pool system outside our house.
The last paragraph of the review implies that the 3.5 mm jack can be used to connect to ANY audio output...what it omits is that the Cerulean RX receiver will still need to be hooked into a powered dock. Based on the wording I assumed the RX might be rechargeable/battery powered. The iskin page also was not explicit on this topic.
In any event, I decided to keep the TX+RX package and also purchased an Mstation Tower 2.1 to use with it. (I'm just sick of running wires everywhere)
Overall the iSkin Cerulean TX+RX is a well-designed product, very easy to setup and use and so far I've had no problems with pairing or transmission/reception.
The packaging is very nice and elegant, which I suspect is partially to make up for the diminutive size and lightness of the components themselves (ie, "I paid how much for this?").
I'm on an older Windows XP pro system and it has worked flawlessly with iTunes, Winamp, or the standard computer audio. you can use this fulltime for more than just music.
Assuming this fits your needs and you already have the hardware required, I'd highly recommend the product.
