"Don't let XM rip you off too."
Pros: Works when dicked and attached to an antenna
Cons: Absolutley no reception.
Summary: I've had my Inno (Inno is the exact same product as the Helix) for about one week now. I truly feel like XM has stolen $500 ($399 for the Inno, $70 for the car kit, tax). I can not express this strongly enough; no reception, no reception, no reception. I went for a thirty minute walk this morning. I got about five minutes of actual listening time. When the stinking thing actually does get a signal, if you turn or change the direction your walking the signal is lost. I get a signal about half the time when the unit is docked in the car kit. The signal is better when driving south. Driving in any other direction I get constant drop outs. I actually don't think I've heard a single song all the way through without a drop out. I do get good reception when the Inno is docked in the house, attached to the antenna, and not moving.
What really bothers me is, XM sells a product for a substantial amount ($399) that only marginally does what they advertise. But if you want it to actually do what they say it will, spend another $40 for antenna headphones. For $400 XM should deliver a product that does what they say it will. Especially when you consider your $400 only gets you the privilege of subscribing to their service. If you want a $400 radio receiver for you home stereo then this is the product for you. Other than that the thing is worthless.

Inno is great. I'd give it an 11 out of 10 if I could. The reception is perfect. It even works indoors through walls. I actually listened to an entire game while I was inside a hockey arena and that is without the headphones. This guy Pete155 is clearly an angry person, who probably didn't activate hsi radio properly and decides to blame his woes on XM who has nothing to do with manufacturing this product to begin with.

I wonder why you are talking about Inno in the Helix corner. Althought Pioneer's Inno has similar features with Samsung Helix, they are totally different products from different manufacturers. (For example, Helix provide 50 hrs of recording while Inno provides 5 hrs.)
Using Samsung Helix, I always get the signal when I need it. The only problem -
It IS true that the reception can be spotty depending where you are when portable. If it is, buy the headphones! Im near Pittsburgh and get a full signal while portable, even in my house at times!! If you are buying for portability, beware you might have to buy the headphone/antenna combo for reception. Im on 2 XM forums and the combo significantly improves signal when portable as many have stated on the forums. If you are not near a city chances are you will need the combo. As far as the car, where did you have the anteena, on top of the car or in it? If you had it in the car, there is the reason for the droputs. Once you get one of these in your hands, you will want to keep it guranteed!!!
