"A great idea ruined by a crappy product"
Pros: Plays music I like without individual downloading
Cons: Bugs - lots of them
Summary: At first I loved this product. I could listen to all kinds of music I like without downloading individual songs. It plays like a radio, so I just turn it on and listen.
But then there was one bug after another. My battery would run down overnight, even though it was off. Then, if the batteries run-down, I need to (according to the customer service) take out the battery for 5 min, then put it back in and recharge again.
The screen went black and the controls where unresponsive on more than one occasion. Customer support never told me how to fix this.
Sometimes there is a lag between clicking a button and getting a response.
The biggest issue is that I can't get it to connect to my computer (it says "connecting", then "unable to connect"). I need to go and use a wi-fi connection at a local coffee shop. But, now that isn't working. So, since I have now gone 38 days without refreshing it stopped playing music and says I need to "refresh my subscription". So I have no music.
My only alternative, I guess, is finding the box/receipt/whatever else I need and packing it up to mail back and get fixed. Although I am not sure if this is what I need to do.
I hate spending time on dealing with something like this. I just wanted to buy something, take it out of the package, and listen. I had no intention of spending so much time trying to get the thing to work right.
This company seems to be putting the burden of quality testing on the customers who bought the first batch.
I would have been better off buying a basic Mp3 player and spending my time downloading songs.
