The good: The Speakal iPig speaker offers an absurdly cute design with touch-sensitive ears that control volume; it incorporates a variety of useful features, including a remote with bass and treble controls; it's compatible with all iPods as well as other MP3 players; sound quality is good.
The bad: Not everyone will be into the Speakal iPig's cutesy look; there's no visual indication of bass and treble levels; no battery power option.
The bottom line: The Speakal iPig is the perfect iPod speaker dock for porcine lovers, but anyone who hankers for an unusual design and solid sound quality will find this unit to be more than suitable.
In the realm of adorable iPod speakers, Lanchiya Technology's Speakal line has to take the cake. You can find the accessory shaped as a ghost, a panda, even a flower pot. But perhaps even more endearing than all of these is the iPig 2.1 Stereo iPod Docking Station, which takes the form of--you guessed it--a portly piggy. Not everyone will be able to get past the cutesy design of this $130 audio accessory, but those who do will be rewarded with surprisingly good sound quality and an array of handy features.

The key to innovative design is creating something that is both functional and interesting to the eye, and the iPig succeeds on both counts. True, not all users will be keen on the piggy shape, but it's undeniably cute. It comes in four colors: white, black, yellow, and pink (for obvious reasons, we're partial to the last one). Every one offers a green LED indicator that makes up the pig's smile. The four legs serve as a stand that keeps the entire unit lifted about a half-inch off the surface upon which it is placed. It turns out that this is necessary, as peering at the bottom of the iPig reveals one of many surprises: a 4-inch subwoofer. Meanwhile, two 1.5-inch midrange drivers make up the pig's eyes, and two 1-inch tweeters rest beneath the ears.

"Quit working and Speakal customer service is painful" By Buyer-beware
Pros: So cute and sound was great while it was working
Cons: Quit working after a few weeks. Just all of a sudden no sound when ipod was docked. That was over 4 months ago and I am still waiting on their customer service to fix this issue
Summary: Has great sound when it works and the look is unique, but hope nothing goes wrong with it.
"AWESOME!!!" By usaincdn
Pros: Great design, cool looking, amazing sound quality, easy to use, innovative features.
Cons: The adapters it came with do not fit my iPhone with its case so I use the iPig with the adapter pulled out (seems fine). Where is the clock radio? Not in there and should have one.
Summary: Sounds great for such a lil box!! Innovative design, smart features and a FANTASTIC sound. Crank it up and try to make it distort ... no can do ... By far the coolest looking toy I have bought in a while and only $100.00. Cheers
