"After 2 of these units die, we give up!"
Pros: Good features...while they work
Cons: Both units died after 3 months!
Summary: I bought this unit for my wife because I liked the features and the price. Unfortunately the bliss ended a short 3 months later when it would not read any discs. The store where we bought it graciously gave us a brand new identical player, but alas, after another 3 months the new unit did the same thing. When I contacted Coby they said that if the unit was purchased within 90 days (barely), they would accept it under limited warranty for repair or replacement only if I would pay for shipping both ways! ($18 money order has to be included with the return!) And what are they going to do, give me a THIRD identical unit that is going to die in 3 months? If you plan on using this with any sort of regularity, spend some extra money and avoid the Coby.
