Cyberhome = Trash sold by thieves

Pros: Not one other than price

Cons: It does not work -and when you send for warranty service, they charge for return shipping and don't return it.

Review: Cyberhome is the least reputable company you could do business with. They are outright theives. The DVD player stopped working about 1.5 months after purchase. We contacted cyber home who gave us a "RMA" order for retrun of the product. They charged us $35 for "return shipping" and promptly shipped back the same item(same serial #) with the same exact problem. When we pointed this out to them, they offered to send us a new one - we refused to pay return shipping again and they agreed to send us a new one. This time they ship via UPS to our home and Require a Signature - we gave UPS an alternate address to deliver to and they instead return the item back to the shipper. At this point we try to contact Cyberhome and they are nowhere to be found...their email no longer works, and the support pages on their website no longer work. I have sent a letter and a registered letter, and neither have been responded to. I can only conclude that these thieves are finally going out of business. Good Riddens Cyberhome!

I wouldn't take it if it was being offered WITH cash

Pros: It fits in the bin

Cons: it's Cyberhome innit?

Review: I bought one of these in Walmart, it wouldn't charge so I took it back next day for a replacement. Unfortunately I was on holiday, when I returned to the UK the DVD player worked for a week, the same battery problem. One thing people have not mentioned is the fact Cyberhome new of this fault but continued to put the unit out for retail with an addendum which they apparently thought covered them for selling a faulty unit. Why do you think they started giving the battery conditioner away for free after cheekily trying to sell it to us to make our dvd player work again. What they should have done was recall every faulty unit and give us a different model replacement or our money back. I have been trying for over a year to get help from them, but they say they cannot ship internationally, I wonder why that is! I say over a year and you guessed, they took so long to reply to me after 40 emails that my warranty ran out. Naughty! I asked them if they could send a battery conditioner to my hotel as I was visiting the USA again, they agreed after 6 or 7 further emails. I got to America and checked at the desk every day, as you have guessed, it didn't turn up. I was there 8 weeks ago and only today I received an email from Cyberhome with a garbled message, I replied and asked them if they could write back with a translation. Anyway, the unit performs perfectly with the power cord attached, but wait, I thought this was a portable model? It is if you lug a generator and a Jerry can around with you. The product isn't anywhere near as crap as the company itself. I will steer clear of Cyberhome even if their products improve, I'm convinced their support and after-sales service will remain the same. Good customer relations is one of the fundamental qualities ANY company should have if they wan't to remain successful, it seems Cyberhome doesn't think so. I believe they could get into trouble for selling a unit with a known fault even though the addendum was included with the unit. There must be a way round it. You wouldn't accept this from a private sale so why should a large company get off? If they send me a new better non-faulty model, with a complete refund on the original and beg my forgiveness then I just might wait an extra day before reporting them to a trading standards authority

Cons: Discs stopped spinning after 10 minutes of use (the player was brand new!) Customer support telephone number is always busy.

Beware of cheap portable DVD players...

Pros: Good list of features...

Cons: So-so picture quality, poor audio quality from internal speakers, poor quality construction... 90 day warranty for parts and labor... Luckily mine broke before 7 days, the display backlight failed... Most of the cheaper portable DVD players on the mark
