"Simply The Best DVD Player w/ My Solution For The Short Battery Life"
Pros: brilliant & crisp picture; great connectivity options; swiveling screen
Cons: short battery life; not cheap
Summary: Recently I bought this portable DVD player for my long flight to Europe and I must say that so far this unit has been worth every penny I have paid for it. The picture looks like it has such a high resolution with such a brilliant and crisp color display. Also, this thing has about every connectivity option one could imagine. The only thing this player could use some work on is the battery life. My solution for this was to simply pick up a batterygeek ultra high capacity external lithium dvd battery. This extra batterygeek DVD battery ended up giving me an extra 3 full length dvd movies per charge. I would highly recommend this portable dvd player to anyone who is more interested in quality than cheapest price.

Was looking at Panasonic DVD-LX9 and got your good rating, minus the obvious short batter life. Sucks on a long plane ride, which I just experienced w/ a DVD player that went back to the store upon return. Thinking about trying DVD player again - the Panasonic one you mentioned. Went to www.batterygeek.net to find the battery you mentioned. There were 1-2 listed there. Which one is the one you recommend for the 3 movie extended time?
