Quick Take: The Sony D-VE7000S DVD Walkman is a portable DVD player with a 7-inch wide-screen LCD. Unlike most clamshell-style portable players, the D-VE7000S is a tablet design that can be docked in an included speaker/recharging cradle for desktop viewing. The DVD Walkman also boasts a digital audio output and dual headphone jacks. According to Sony, the battery life is rated at three hours with headphone use. The Sony D-VE7000S DVD Walkman ($200) will be available in late April. (Despite the product's name, Sony does not recommend actually walking while watching the DVD Walkman.)
