"Total junk didn't last a year, lived on a shelf" on by srv858
Pros: Sounded fine when it worked, price was okay, but what can you say now..... it's broken and the manufacturer nor Target give a rip.
Cons: Horrible bass, ridiculous remote, AND IT QUIT WORKING AFTER ONE YEAR,,,,,,, TRASH!!!! I'll never buy anything from SDI again. This thing lived in a bedroom out of harm's way and was on a shelf. Wow, true jungle conditions...... NOT! Junk!
Summary: Don't buy one. Instead, buy a lemon and a watermelon. Throw the watermelon off a building and, VOiLA! You have the H27 after one year. Keep the lemon at home..... it will always remind you of the SDI iHome iH27....... a lemon with the performance after one of a smashed watermelon that you never really threw anywhere.

"not Classic Compatitble" on by Allan Ziskey
Pros: nice sound
Cons: Alarm feature doesn't work with the Ipod Classic
Summary: My gripe of the year...why did I have to buy into the Ipod right when they decide to change course and chip it to decrease compatibility? I ultimately chose the Classic Ipod because I thought I was getting a bargin for a unit that would have a wide variety of accessories. Unfortunately I was wrong. Although the iH27 has very good sound and little distortion at max volume the max isn't very powerful (actually my woot.com $12.99 purchase Saitek My Spkr A-100 is probably just as loud) Most of all I went with this unit as I wanted to maximize my use of it an alarm clock but have found it just never worked well as such. It generally would "go off" but with the Ipod unit in pause, or the unit would not be detected. Don't be fooled either by the idea that the 'back-up' will still buzz, it won't. Believe it or not I actually went against the iHome support advice that I wait as they've generally found that the Apple store doesn't actually represent product compatibility...go figure. THANKS AGAIN APPLE TRY LISTENING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! PLEASE REMOVE THE VIDEO CHIP PROTECTION...yet one more useless feature this device offers but Apple considerately cripples in the new classic.
