Pros Sounds great. Looks great. Very pleased.
Cons There is no radio.
Summary I went back and forth between this product and a $150 JBL product at Best Buy. The thing that gave me pause was that I wasn't sure I wanted to drop $300 on an iHome product; particularly one that I had not seen reviewed yet (I bought it in early Sep). That seemed like too much money, particularly given the Bose was at the same price and had a good reputation. But, I listened to both in the store and thought the iHome sounded better. I brought it home, put it in a book shelf in my office, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The sound is fantastic, in my opinion.
I keep the blue button on and can't imagine why you would listen to it without the bass feature fully engaged. I listen to mostly rock and pop music, so I haven't experienced any of the issues w/ classical music described in the CNET review. I live in a fairly small place and the sound is more than sufficient for my needs. In fact, I watch a lot less TV now b/c I find myself listening to Pandora on my iTouch.
The only negative comment I have is that for that price, it should include a radio. Sometimes, you just want to listen to the radio. I'm sure there is an app on the iTunes store where I could listen to the radio, but I would prefer to have a radio option in the iP1.
I don't typically write reviews for products, but I have been very pleased with this product, so I felt compelled to give iHome credit. If you can get it for $250, buy it.
Pros Love the sound but...
Cons Since I have put my iPhone4 into its bumper it no longer can dock into the iHome system. Repeatedly removing the bumper will destroy it quickly. Not using the bumper puts the phone at risk for damage and poor performance. No solution yet frm iHome
Summary If iHome can supply a way to dock my iPhone4 while it is in its bumper I will be a very happy camper again and would rate it as a five. Right now the speaker system is just collecting dust.
Pros This sound is fantastic. The system is loud with great bass. The design is attractive. Full Ipod navigation with remote. Sounded much better at home and in the store. Much louder than the Bose Sound dock. Adjust the bass and treble with remote.
Cons There is a treble and bass adjustment but nothing to indicate what level they are at other than listening. I little bulky to move around. The price of $300 is alot but $250 is fair.
Summary Very easy to use. Full ipod navigation with remote. Great sound and sleek design make this a good buy for $250.
Pros None hype and no other
Cons peice of crap, Look elsewhere
Summary Worked for 2 hrs/ sent back paid shipping plus ins got back/ worked 15 min and quit/ emailed tech support no response! crap service and support a no buy product.
Pros Nice look, good sound.
Cons Wont fit iPhone with any kind of case or protector on it.
it's priced $100 too much.
