Summary Very good unit. My biggest complaint is that when you listen to AM/FM you have to keep pressing the "search" button tons of times to get to the station you want. IT DOES NOT STAY ON THE LAST STATION YOU WERE LISTENING TOO. Seems like it should, but when yoy turn the unit on again it resets to the lowest channel avbailable. You would think it would stay where you left it or at least offer the ability to "press and hold" the seek button to get where you want it. So you must press and release, press and release, press and release numerous times. A little annoying....

Pros great for picnics and gatherings

Cons breaks easy my friend bought one too and his broke, it just did not play from the dock anymore, his had the same thing and while returning it to sams club they had another one in the back that was returned as well.

Summary i am debating on purchasing another one since this was my second one the first one was defective on arrival.Good concept i just wish they made a quality product.

Pros It gets loud, It has inputs for iPods and other MP3/music devices (even a guitar), charges iPod as it plays, comes with a microphone, charge lasts a long time.

Summary I bought the Block Rocker for tailgating at Jimmy Buffett concerts. I can easily hook up my iPod or Zune, press play and forget. It is powerful enough to drown out what your neighbor might be playing. The Block Rocker also has an output on the side (where the power button is) that is supposed to be a link for a second BR. I plug an FM transmitter into the jack and have limitless broadcasting possibilites. It works great as a guitar amp and PA announcer too. People complain about the battery life, but you have to realize that batteries of this type have to be conditioned. You need to let it discharge fully before recharging. I have had mine for a year and am currently charging it for only the second time. No problems whatsoever. I was lucky to get mine on sale for $119. Quite a bargain for what it does.

Pros Loud enough to annoy your neighbors at a tailgate party. Long lasting battery...you get atleast 8 hours out of the battery.

Cons Batteries don't last forever!

Summary This is the best product out right now at this price point. If you're looking to play music at a tailgate party without lugging around a loud generator this is the product for you. The only downside to a portable stereo/pa system is that it runs off a battery and batteries as we know don't last forever. Ion sells a replacement battery for about half as much as the unit cost which I think is outrageous. There is a seller on ebay that sells Ion Block Rocker replacement batteries for a reasonable price. The seller also includes detailed instructions on how to replace the battery. If I can replace the battery anybody can! I give the Ion Block rocker 5 stars for innovation, portability and reliablility.
