"Solid, loud capable speaker"
4.0 starson by dewydusterPros: It gets loud, It has inputs for iPods and other MP3/music devices (even a guitar), charges iPod as it plays, comes with a microphone, charge lasts a long time.
Cons: Heavy, monarual.
Summary: I bought the Block Rocker for tailgating at Jimmy Buffett concerts. I can easily hook up my iPod or Zune, press play and forget. It is powerful enough to drown out what your neighbor might be playing. The Block Rocker also has an output on the side (where the power button is) that is supposed to be a link for a second BR. I plug an FM transmitter into the jack and have limitless broadcasting possibilites. It works great as a guitar amp and PA announcer too. People complain about the battery life, but you have to realize that batteries of this type have to be conditioned. You need to let it discharge fully before recharging. I have had mine for a year and am currently charging it for only the second time. No problems whatsoever. I was lucky to get mine on sale for $119. Quite a bargain for what it does.
