"Great Little Speakers"
on by drjohnkPros Well rounded sound (with and w/o ac power)
Easy interface
Simple and beautiful designCons Remote will not work completely with 5g iPod. (Only volume)
Remote interface is slightly sluggish and unnecessarily complicated.Summary I would most definitely recommend this product.
My biggest priority was to keep the price low, while having quality sound.
I got both of those objectives.
My only complaints are on interface.
Obviously not many people have 5g iPods anymore, but I was still disappointed that it didn't work perfectly with the remote... The remote at any rate, is the setup's greatest weakness. The remote mimics the apple remote, but with unnecessary complications. -
"Am liking this."
on by project86Pros I am really liking this speaker dock. Rechargeable internal battery means complete portability. Take it anywhere and not have to worry about dying batteries that would not last 10 hours on one charge like this.
Cons I would say the only things wrong with this would be no LCD. Menu button does not scroll properly. When you press the Menu button, it switches to the next tab, but when it gets to the end, it does not go back to the first tab.
Summary Aside from not being able to use the Menu button for this properly and fully, I would say this is a decent speaker dock for first time iPod users. I have the Touch and pressing the Menu button switches the tabs until it gets to the end. When it gets to the end, it goes back one then forward one. So if you have Playlist, Artist, Song, Album, More. What it will do is select each one from the left to the right, but when it gets to the More option, it goes back one to the Album option. Pressing Menu will select More again, then Album, then More, etc. It will not return to the beginning, so you have to manually choose Playlist again to get it back to the beginning. Another thing I do not like is when you press up or down to choose a album, song or artist, it goes up or down twice for every time you press once. So if you press once up, it will go up twice. I really hate that as it passes albums, artists or songs I wish to play so I have to either hold the button down and release the button when it reaches the point I want, or I have to manually go up to the iPod and choose what I want that way. Aside from that, and no LCD, alarm, radio tuner, etc., this is a decent product. I bought mine brand new on ebay for 65.99, free shipping. And mine came in white. There is no way this thing is worth 99.99 and up for what little it does. I can get a cord for 10 bucks and plug it into my stereo for what this thing does. It was not worth the 65.99 I paid for it, but companies know you will want a speaker dock for the best MP3 player out there, so they are going to make you pay for it. This speaker dock has no features or extra buttons that are noteworthy for the price. All it has is a stereo xl button, repeat and shuffle
button. That's about it. And they want 100 dollars and up for this? LOL Glad I chose to shop smart. I originally gave this product 3 1/2 stars, but as I wrote the review, I brought it down to 3, then 2 1/2. I think for the features and what little it offers except the very basics, that is a reasonable assessment. -
"For the price no comparison."
on by roberthendryPros The sound is great, but the rechargeable battery, fold up legs, convienent carrying case and remote make this player a home run. i'm looking forward to using it on the golf course, my group enjoys the music.
Cons I have found no draw backs.
Summary Price, size, convience, and sound makes the best buy for in/outdoor usage i've found. plugged in it recharges the Iphone.

"For the price, the speakers are great"
on by TechDude09Pros Good sound quality, long-lasting rechargable battery, nice remote, good sound quality, nice features.
Cons Remote doesn't seem to have too long of a range, speakers turn off automatically after 2 minutes of no music, even when it's plugged into an electrical outlet.

"Good sound and great portability."
on by reeeallyPros Good sound, and isn't that what really matters? Solid construction. Rechargeable battery. I like that the charger and remote fit in the travel case, a nice improvement over the MM50. I hope whoever came up with the cord storage got a nice bonus.
Cons Haven't come across any.
Summary So far, so good. I've been using an MM50 for over five years with a 5.5 gen 80 GB iPod and have been thoroughly satisfied with it. I saw an Anywhere-2 on clearance at Target for $49.00 and couldn't pass it up. This isn't going to replace my home stereo, but for the hotel room while traveling, the bedroom, bathroom while getting ready in the morning or out on the deck, it's top notch, better and louder than the MM50 in side-by-side testing. The portability is great, with the charger and remote nicely fitting in the travel case, an improvement over the MM50, although the MM50s' case was of a more rigid design. And the remotes are interchangeable. Not all that important, but there it is. But it's biggest improvement, for me, anyway, is that it'll charge my iTouch, something the MM50 couldn't do. If you expect this to shake the the house, you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for nice sound, solid construction and portability at a good price, this is for you.
