Quick Take: Want a portable speaker for your iPod that won't weigh you down? The Mythix iChant ($33), coming it at a tiny 3 by 1.3 by 1.3 inches, won't exactly fill a room with pumping music; there's only one tiny speaker, bass is nonexistent, and sonic detail is on the low side. But this two-ounce add-on will let you and any nearby buddies listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts without having to share earbuds. Powered by an AA battery, the iChant is small enough to fit in a pocket, although the protruding minijack for the iPod headphone port might jab you in the thigh if you're not careful.
