Pros Great design with no-mess clip-in speaker holder for protection and wrap-around wire holder; integrated amplifier with extra-long battery life; awesome bass with beat vent that works like a subwoofer
Cons Weaker in high notes(but I'm nitpicking); A little big to be classified 'portable'
Summary This is a nice little pair of speakers, and you'll be surprised at the sound quality this $25 speaker will pound in your lounge. It comes in white and grey/gray(whatever you prefer, you yankees. NZ prevails!) with orange accent. While only 3 watts in total(finally the geeks at Cnet got something wrong; it says 1 watt on the spec page), the Wide-Stereo technology more than makes up for it. The integrated amplifier runs on three AAA batteries, and I am happy to report that it lasts longer than my momma's banana cake on the kitchen bench. If you really want to cut cost on the batteries, then it can operate with the amp turned off. Alternatively, you can sell blood and *****. On the back you'll find a hole on each speakers, and these are the bass vents that pumps out quality bass you can really feel as well as hear. When I'm going over to my bro's bach for a rugby, a chook-and-kunikuni barbie and finish off with a chuddy from the dairy and a chunter down the gully (pardon my kiwi slangs), I would definity want this little baby on the coffee table to share the music. but when you're on the move, it's so easy to get it organised; three components clip on together with extra measures for speaker protection, and wrap-around wiring holder mininizes the risk of broken or straight-out-of-the-dictionary-definition-for-bad-hair-day wires.
I have to admit, it is a little bigger than I have thought, but still, It's smaller than my puku(beer-belly in New Zealand, nothing disgusting) and I'm happy with it. The higher notes are kind of mediocre, I'm afraid; Regina Spektor sounds exactly like she is, and we all know that's not a good sign.
All in all, there might be some of you that says the problems mentioned will draw them back(bloody perfectionists) but I'm morbidly and ridiculously impressed with it. The end. And now I feel like I've written too much. Who cares.
Pros Compact, cost (only $20 at Target), easy to use
Cons No volume control on speakers, no plug option/battery only
Summary Maybe it's just my ipod and my laptop but I can't seem to get the speakers to actually play very loud. I can easily talk over the highest level on both my ipod and laptop. What gives? The sound quality that does come out is great, way better than those in it's price range. I just hope I can sort this high quality/low maximum volume problem I'm having.

Pros Nice form, very portable
Cons Quality over time
Summary I got these speakers for my ipod and laptop and for 20 dollars i though even if they were bad, its just 20 dollars. They are nice and portable but after a couple months the speakers have gotten more and more fuzz and sounds pretty bad. Maybe its just me, but i don't think you will get more than a good year out of these speakers.
