"Sounds great for the price!"5.0 starson by Electronix101
Pros: Very loud for its size, USB port for charging your device, AUX jack capable, and portable.
Cons: USB port is only useful to charge, not to play music. Does not come with a carrying case, nor does it have speakerphone capability.
Summary: Loud and proud. I was in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker to use at the gym; I ended up going through most of the portable speakers at Best Buy, Walmart, and Target before I stumbled across this one. I played the Jawbone Big Jambox, BOSE SoundLink and a couple others side-by-side with the Soundfreaq Sound Kick, and could not justify spending over $200 for any of the others after hearing this one.
Again, my purpose for purchasing this speaker was for use in an open floor-plan gym environment. I wanted something that played loud enough to hear from across the room, but doesn't sound distorted. This speaker has great clarity, even at its maximum volume. If you rummage through the preset sound settings, you can get some decent bass out of it, as well. If it helps anyone: My friends and I listen to a lot of rock and Dubstep while working out, and the bass from this little speaker is sufficient enough to impress. The fact that it can also charge your device via USB (unlike the BOSE or Jawbone) is a major plus, too.
If you just want a speaker you can stick around the house, or to take with you somewhere to amplify the noise from your smartphone, this is a great option.
