ALMOST perfect

Pros: Innovative, works as designed, clear picture

Cons: no built-in RF tuner or external connectors

Review: This works right out of the box for the basic function; wirelessly stream signals from my cable and two other video sources (I used my DVD and VCR). The picture was clear, and the controls were intuitive. It also took me just minutes to wire it to my router to get web connectivity.

It did take some doing (about 2 days) to finally figure out how get it to work remotely through the internet, but now that I know how, I haven't had any problems streaming my stuff anywhere I can get an internet connection through the wireless card or the built in RJ-45 LAN jack. The problem was basically all the security I had setup on my router. The instructions on how to set this up properly was almost non-existent, but this is due to the fact that each router is different, and how to accomplish what needs to be done differs from one make/model router to the other. Let me be clear though, it is not easy, but once done, IT IS THE SWEETEST THING!!

I do have a couple of suggestions to make this item better.

Without a highspeed internet connection, the only thing this can do is view pictures stored in Complact flash media. Adding an RF tuner to pick up signals from the airwaves would add to it's value greatly.

Also, the only way to watch media from it is using the screen. It's very much a PERSONAL viewer. By adding RCA line in/out connectors to allow a connection to another device right from the monitor would expand it's usage when away from the base station.

Other than those, I think this is a great product. I am VERY happy with my purchase.... expensive, but worth it.
