Pros: Nice size screen with excellent picture quality. Supports most popular formats: M4A, Wave, WMV (Prortected & Non protected, AAC, AC3, Mpeg-4, XviD, DivX, H264, Mpeg-2, AVI, WMV, And Photo: JPEG, PNG, BMP, And Text: PDF. This makes the player an A+

Cons: You have to purchase add-ons to get it to play all the formats that are suported. Volume level in my opinion could be louder. Battery life sucks big time, and it could be a little cheaper in my opinion.

Summary: All in all I love this product. I aquired it from a friend not knowing anything about archos or their players, and took his word that it was a good one. I purchased the AAC+H264 plug-in so it now plays virtually any files that I use and the sound quality of AAV/M4A is kick butt. I also love the fact that I can watch my favourite shows while waiting for a doctors appointment, or going travelling. It has a 40GIG Hard Drive which is more than enough for me as I filled it up completly with music and ended up deleting a lot of it due to the time it took to scroll through the song list to find the songs that I wanted to hear, and im too lazy to create a playlist which this machine is also capable of reading. Its also great for reading, and I have all the bus route schedules and maps in pdf form so I always know what time, and where it is Im going. It retails for $349.99 here in Canada at shoppers drug mart which is a rip off, so buy one online, you get the best deals on the net. All in all I'd give it a 4 & 1/2 out of five and would definately reccomend it to someone looking for an all around audio/video/text/photo player! Great Job Archos!
