"504 160Gb vs AV700 vs AV420-I have owned them all"
Pros: 504 large 2.5" 160GB HD, longer screen, bright display, good sound, removable battery
Cons: Too thick, All inputs are proprietary-no charging w/o special acces, ridiculously low battery life <2 hours (all reviews lied), complicated buttons

Pros: Bigger drive (160Gb) and screen
Cons: have to buy extra codecs from archos for video playback

"Best all in one portable device"
Pros: huge capacity, good pictures, good batt life, record TV and playback exactly the same quality, use as a camcorder (ok quality), music quality is good. can back up DVD movies.
Cons: speaker quality very bad, camcorder cant pause (troublesome to use), software interface not too friendly (video & photo)
Summary: have really tested this device during christmas and new year.
An all rounder. Have everything I want and the option to choose what I want (optional accessories).

"Greatest Gadget Ever Invented for Movie Buffs"
Pros: Holds a Gazillion Movies
Cons: Larger than an Ipod

Pros: New, bigger storage than AV500
Cons: You do not get as much as before
