Pros Easy to navigate around, OK screen. Nothing else is good compared to other devices.

Cons Nothing works well. Everything (DVR station, battery life, photoviewer, mp3 all garbage).

Summary I very much regret buying this. It is just a lot of hassle to use. The DVR is very problematic and difficult to get to function properly, the battery life is VERY short, photos take forever to load up (if over 2mp!). It's just too big for a MP3 player. Customer support is non-existent... expect to be on hold for a LONG time. Shame.

Please note, the other reviews seem to be from people who just got their Archos. If I had written it in the first week I would have given it 4 or 5 stars too... if you live with it for a while, you'll see it for what it is - simply not a good product at all.

Pros Great Video. Easy to load media.

Cons Unreliable, very quirky. I have had 2 break in 3 months.

Summary Although the video quality is awesome and the large amount of storage, all of this is offset by the unreliablity of this unit. I have had two (2) in 3 months. The first one did not work out of the box. The second started failing after 5 uses. It began with the down button not working. Then more buttons failed. In the end, the system would not power-up unless it was in the battery dock and the usb connection would power the system down. I have asked for a refund. I will not purchase another Archos product.

Summary I bought this PVP for myself for a christmas gift.
I bought it at the begining of November 07 open it at christmas, that was my first mistake it exceed my waranty they only give you a month.
First why would you only give a month waranty because you know how hard drives act sometimes huh Archos. Two weeks later it acts up can't record anymore my files all over the OS, sent it back cost me 72 dollars and shipping. The email from Archos made me feel like i was the villian. Very Nasty! Oh buy the way this thing gets hot when using it in wi-fi for an half an hour. The thing will not work with media player unless I use the HD instead of Media on its OS. Doing that files are all over the place i'm constantly put them back where they should be. Sad Product. The people who gave this thing 9 and 10 must work for Archos or they have a different product than I. Should have went with the Cowan Q5W.
