Pros: good speakers, bright display

Cons: a/v cable shorting out. cant seem to stop video

Summary: this player is not what i expected. yes it has a small but bright display. the sound quality is really good too. however, i found some things that arent so good. you have to press the back button constantly to do almost anything. there is no dedicated menu button. the button layout itself is not as easy as it looks. i cant believe nobody has commented on this yet, but i also noticed that during video playback, there is no way to actually stop the video. you can pause it but you cant stop it. if you want to go back to the main menu while watching a video, the video keeps playing in the bacground. if you pause it during playback, the paused scene itself becomes the background wallpaper! this may not seem like much of a problem to some, but to me it was a MAJOR drawback. the only way to get out of it is to restart the player or open another program. the a/v out cable on mine kept shorting out with the slightest movement while hooked up to my tv. i will be exchanging it for an archos 604.
