"Still No ID3 Tag Browsing!!!"
Pros: Audio Quality, JetEffects, Design, Video/Audio Codecs, Battery Life
Cons: Outdated, Obsolete File-Tree Organization
Summary: I was all set to order one of these, when I discovered Cowon still uses their outdated file-tree system for browsing. I can't believe this!. Even the MP3 players built into cell phones use ID3 tag sorting. How in God's name am I supposed to find a song in my 6,000 plus collection using that stupid folder system? Come on Cowon. Get with the times. My search continues.

Th folder browsing is incredibly simple if you know how to organize your files. You simply go through the artist andthen album info. To say its a deal breaker is misleading. It would be nice if they had ID3 too, but anyone should be smart enough to use folder browsing. Also, for the bookmarking feature, it has a recent files section that keeps track of the last 30 or so files you have played. It keeps your movies there right were you left off, same with music and TXT files. Way better than bookmarking.

I have waited for years for a Cowon upgrade from my 4 1/2 years old IAudio X5. Since then Cowon has not released a large capacity mp3 player (32 GB and over) that has iD3 tag browsing (with the option of folder browsing), or in the case of flash memory, sd expansion slot, and of course a great ui with good controls. When will they get it?! I'm not buying any mp3 player, especially from cowon, that doesn't offer these specs. I''ll pass on the O2 for now when/if it gets a firmware upgrade to offer these features. So until then I'll have to keep using my 20GB X5 for a little bit longer (the battery only holds a charge for 3 hrs now)

I second that....
My 3 years old Archos AV500 can search by Folders AND ID3tag... it also have the same screen resolution for a 4" display and it can Resume an interrupted video file or music file... (it can manually bookmark also, both music and video)... and can play out to TV from the headphones jack (with a standard RCA AV cable)
I dont like the newer archos model much cause they have lost the standard conections and everything that once was built in... now its only able to do it if you pay separately for it... (i.e. USB Host, wall charging, TV output)
But you might want to take a look just in case they fit your needs...
