Pros: shame on cnet for not even glancing at the user manual.
Cons: feature wise it nails it. bluetooth is more useful than wifi in a player and oled plus capacitive touch screen is the bomb.
Summary: Review the review and remove your fau paux. That should not reflect negatively on an excellent product.

This is also incorrect. The screen of the S9 is covered by Corning's "Gorilla Glass" which is why it is so very scratch resistant. This is the same stuff they use on the ZuneHD and it is very resilient. I'm not even sure anyone makes a plastic capacitive touch screen. So please make the appropriate corrections. -

Pros: Great SQ, blows away any other non Cowon mp3 out there. Great video screen. The blacks are genuinely black, not a dark grey. Solid UI. Unable to scratch or damage screen. Very portable.
Cons: Cowon does not have the advertising power of Apple and other companies. So their better products dont get the recognition some other companies get.
Summary: Since the comparisons in this article were to the itouch, ill compare the two also. Better SQ, better screen quality, better resolution, better video capabilites(plays more codecs, etc), hardware buttons on outside(so you can control in pocket). The only downside to this over the touch is the touchs UI is a little smoother. This is not the mp3 player for someone who wants all of the extras like internet. This is one of the best mp3 players out there. It does what is is designed to do. Play music and videos with superb sound quality. If the Apple with their itouch ever improved their sound quality, then maybe they could say their a better device. Since it isnt, this is the device to get if you look for quality above all else.
also as for the build quality, google search s9 scratch videos. the thing is pretty close to indestructible. Guy took a set of keys to the screen for about a minute...and nothing was wrong with it. If buy weak construction quality they mean lightweight, then ok. But since when did light weight become a negative?
