"Claims DivX Support, but don't play my files" on by ChrisAllen2
Pros: same size as most PMPs
Cons: Claims DivX Support, but don't play my files
Summary: Got for birthday three days ago, spent long time trying to get my DivX movies to play -- found out it only support a couple of types of DivX -- that's not support! Don't claim to be what your not! My girlfriend who bought it thinks DivX is DivX... she don't understnad the specifics -- either DivX or no DivX... can't do just part of it... I would have returned it if I wouldn't have hurt girlfriend's feelings.

"Another Creative Miss!" on by Drinks at 5
Pros: Good color screen
Cons: Lack of DivX and focus on WMV
Summary: Great product, been looking for one for a long time as I believe this would be the ideal replacement for my iPod. Problem is that it does not play DivX; that's like having a portable music player that does not play MP3.
All of my content is in the same format, MP3 for audio and DivX for Video. My PC's play these formats, my Philips DVD player plays MP3 and DivX, why would I want my replacement for my iPod to play some funky WMV?
I'm waiting for RCA, Samsung or Philips to release DivX player, then bye bye iPod and hello Portable Video Pod. -
"Why Bother?" on by Tech2005
Pros: Small, sleek, big screen
Cons: No line-in video recording.
Summary: Isn't the whole point of these units to be able to quickly and easily transfer music, pics, and video? Who has the time to record video on another device and then format it to fit this thing. The price is nice, but if I can't hook it up to my television or dvd player to record my media, why bother? The other features are great and it looks intuitive, but I think without line-in recording capability, there's nothing special here.
