Pretty easy to use.
Using earphones I still only got about 2 hours of battery life playing mp3. The volume power is so low that you can't turn it up to compensate for much outside noise. I had to return the first one because the user interface deleted itself.

Sounds OK, but not great
I have had my PVR-A1 for several months now and I like it. I got it at Sams Club for less than $100 and bought the 1 gig SD card for $50. I use it to download podcasts and listen to them on the go. I bought an IPOD adapter that lets me play the audio over an FM station in my car. What I really like is the video in feature. You can hook it up to the the TV, DVD Play, or VCR and save videos to watch later. I believe the memory card can hold, maybe 3 hours.
