    "Amazing Value!!" on by Jefferi22

Pros: Looks Great, lightweight but sturdy

Cons: Their hard to find due to its outstanding popularity

Summary: I have had mine for a week now, and love it. It finally combines everything i want. It is much smaller than other similar types (Vision M ), but it somehow is even more sleek looking. It is fast, and I just love how I can navigate it so easily.

This Gigabeat is going to be huge once it hits stores!

"So Amazing, Go get one while they last" on by Gregthegeek

Pros: Small size, really smart interface, supports many music/video subsriptions

    Cons: Availability

Summary: I have an iPod, and I hate it now compared to this device, it lets me choose tons of content from a variety of companies, some which are exclusive to this unit, and it still is much more powerful than the iPod. Forget Apple, come to the gigabeat, and enjoy its compact size, along with a great amount of player features that are unique to this device.

"Just got it in the mail yesterday!" on by miketechi3034

Pros: Looks great, so small and lightweight, so many great features

Cons: It took a while to find one to buy, there just becoming way too popular!

Summary: It works great with WMP 11, I just drag my favorite music to the icon and it transfers it seemlessly and quickly. I havent found any problems, the Divx video files which have caught the attention of many prospective buyers will be happy to know that WMP quickly converts them to their format, so you can still watch your favorite TV programs on it, whether there legal or not ;), It also works great with other subscription content such as Rhapsody, and unlike the old out-dated ipod, you can choose from a vareity of content providers so you aren't in the mercy of just one greedy company aka Apple. Order it if you can now b/c I think they are going to be harder to find in just a matter of weeks.

"great ideas, lets hope it delivers" on by bigstax91

    Pros: landscape viewing, vongo service

Cons: poor battery life rumors may be true

Summary: I have been very excited about this player since released at CES. Most people just wont accept a pvp for being better than the ipod, but this just may be. On the downside: there have been rumors aobut horrible battery life may be the biggest suprise about this device. Lets just hope this delivers.

"Deptite constant advice not to get it, I got it anyway. A choice I don't regret." on by oyino

Pros: Beatiful design, nice big screen, and the easiest navigation I've ever come across

Cons: The screen isn't very bright at its brightest and it can't read lyrics

Summary: I don't know too much about mp3s but I have come across a few of them. My opinion and rating are based to my comparison of the toshiba to its competitive mp3 players, the creative zen m and the ipod video. My brother owns the 30gb creative zen m and my sister has the 30gb ipod video, so I am very familiar with both.

For those thinking of getting a creative, it is the best choice for a feature packed mp3. It has everything, from a voice recorder to fm recording and a day planner. Plus, the screen is ridicilously bright and colorful, and the battery life is pretty good. The only downer is that it doesn't read lyrics. But, for those who are interested in what their mp3 can do for them, I can honestly say that creative would be the best choice, because they really put their all into their mp3s.

But my reason for picking the toshiba over it is firstly, because of price. The toshiba can be bought for almost as low as $170, while the lowest price for the creative I've come across is $210. Plus, to me, the toshiba has a better looking design, but that could be considered objective and trivial. But most importantly to me was the navigation. Call me dumb, but I found the navigation for creative pretty difficult. I kept getting stuck in places and not knowing how to get where I wanted to go. It got very frustrating for me, hence my opting to get the toshiba.

As for the ipod video, I'm sure everybody knows all about that. First of all, the design is good looking and it is so very integrated with itunes. To me, your ipod is literally your portable itunes. I doubt there's anything as thoroughly integrated as the ipod and itunes. Plus, the ipod can read lyrics. To some, that it not a big deal, but I always enjoyed reading lyrics on my sister's ipod. Most important though, is acessories. The ipod has endless acessories, that other mp3 players don't come close to. That is a huge plus for them.

Despite the greatness of the ipod, I still prefer the toshiba. In case no one hasn't noticed, the ipod has no radio! That is something I really don't understand. Plus, the price is more, at $240 in the least. I can't afford that. Plus, another problem for me is the scroll. I really don't like it. My sister has about 5,000 songs and trying to scroll down that long list gets incredibly tiring, I just give up sometimes. With the toshiba, all I have to do is hold the button down. Easy!. Another thing is the interface. Although it isn't as difficult as the creative, I feel like one button does too much. On the toshiba, there is only one button for everything. Nice and simple.

In conclusion, I'm not saying the toshiba is the best choice for everyone, because I can see why other things could seem better. Bottom line for me is, it looks good, it was cheap, and it's so easy to use. That's what's important to me.
