Pros Charges at 16,000 mAh fine, and I am on 6th month with it, no issue.
Cons Maximum output is 5.0V at <2.5A, which means it is barely stronger than a standard AC iPhone charger, and it CANNOT charge 2 devices at once. So having 5 ports is basically meaningless.
Summary If the unit had a prioritized USB socket that won't die upon overload, and disconnect all the others, then at least I don't have to worry of it not charging at least ONE of 2 devices I left connected. But the unit turns ALL of the sockets off after overload, so you have to carefully monitor it for a few minutes to see that it does not overload with more than one unit. My experience is maximum it can handle is 1 iPad, or 2 small cell/smartphone. no more.
Pros The only good thing about this unit is the LED indicator showing charge status.
Cons DOES NOT charge 5 items at one time as advertised on their website.
DOES NOT hold a full charge.
DOES NOT work 100% of the time.
Summary I bought this unit thinking I would have the ability to charge multiple phones at one time. The video on their website shows multiple phones and an iPad attached to the unit. This is false advertising, the unit will not charge items totaling over a 2.1 amp draw. With this unit, you cannot charge an iPad and iPhone at the same time, or more than 2 iPhones at the same time. making the rest of the 3 ports useless. After purchasing the unit, you can read the fine print on the users guide located inside the box. It clearly states it will not charge multiple phones at once. You get the real statement after you purchase the unit. I was disappointed before I even used it for the first time.
The unit lacks poorly in the ability to hold a charge. After charging the unit to full, after a few hours, I checked the battery level to find that it had fallen to 75% without being used. After owning the unit for a month, the unit stopped holding a charge long enough to charge my iPhone more than one time. This has also been a major disappointment.
And my last pet peeve about this item is that it has a mind of its own and only works when it wants to. There are times I can turn on the unit and it will immediately power itself off again. You can press the battery check button, and the unit will power on long enough to show you the battery status, and will then power itself back off. This occurs under all conditions, if its normal room temperature, hot, or cold. Also occurs when the battery is full, half, or low. And rather there is anything plugged into the unit or not.
I have taken and exchanged this item for a new one hoping that the one I had was a bad one, but the replacement performed the same way.
In all, I have to say, I am very unhappy with this item and if it performed as advertised, would be a great charging device.
I am currently using a new "mycharge 6000" battery pack and it works great so far.
