Pros: If you have more than two people who play 4 or more hours a day on average, this is practically a requirement. It charges reasonably fast and comes with a battery, plus it plugs into the wall.

Cons: Well, first, it plugs into the the wall, so you can't hot-play, and you need at least one extra battery to be able to use this effectively.

Summary: This is a handy peripheral for those gamers who already have batteries and play often enough to be taxing on the batteries. It's worth it to get this even if you have play and charge kits, but not strictly necessary. I'd suggest having at least two batteries per controller, however, just so that you don't have to deal with times of no play. As far as general quality goes, Microsoft Xbox hardware seems to be generally top notch. I've never seen a good reason to go to another provider, at least for this.
