Each charging slot on the Charge Base IC glows blue while charging and switches over to green when it's all powered up. This process takes around 4 hours to complete and Nyko claims it should net you roughly 20 hours of actual play time.
What's great about the Charge Base's design is the free-standing magnetic dock that not only allows for charging Wii remotes with MotionPlus attached, but also lets you juice up remotes with the rubber jacket still attached. Also, you don't necessarily need the Wii remote attached while charging; you can simply leave the batteries attached and use an alternate power source temporarily.
On the back of the Charge Base is an auxiliary USB port that Nyko has thrown in as an added bonus. When the system is turned on, you can use this port to charge any device that connects via USB, a welcome extra that we've never seen on a gaming charger before.

Overall, we think the Nyko Charge Base IC is an excellent Wii remote charger. Priced at $40, it's a few dollars more than we'd like to pay for such a device, but the magnetic induction, auxiliary USB port, and power toggle separate it from other charging systems we've seen.
