Pros The idea is there, a portable charger for all my things sounds wonderful.
Cons Much too expensive and restrictive on what it can "wirelessly" charge.
Summary The idea may be revolutionary, but this product is NOT. It's very expensive and very restrictive on what it can charge. The commercials also fail to mention that if you'd like to wirelessly charge your products you'll have to shell out an additional $30 for each adapter. You could end up paying nearly $200 by the time you utilize this product to it's fullest.
Purchasing additional "universal" adapters is also expensive and eliminates the whole purpose of going wireless. Do yourself a favor and instead invest in a $20 power surge outlet instead. The cords will still be there, but so will your money and your dignity.
Pros Good Concept
Cons Not Pratical
Summary I 've been trying to research this product, and have seen it displayed in a box in a store, but haven't seen a working model. What surprises me even more, is that CNET has not even reviewed this product. Wouldn't wireless charging seem revolutionary? Couldn't this be a game changer for millions of cell phone users out there? Not a word from CNET, who supposedly is on the front edge of technology.
CNET - Please review this product. Based on the TV commercials and what it says on the box, it is very deceiving. It requires a special backing that attaches to your phone (which is only available for the iphone and blackberry) and to use it for any other phone requires a dongle that has a mini-usb port that entirely defeats the purpose of going wireless.
This product is a scam and CNET needs to point that out...and fast because this could potentially be a popular (but total bust) holiday sale item for those who aren't technically savy (think my mom).
"NOT A HAPPY CAMPER"on by scanner4
Pros The idea of wireless charging.
Cons Gets my HTC EVO way too HOT when charging, can't hear the connect tones or see the lights on the unit
Summary I'm not happy with Tech support, They lost my powermat after having me return it and can't tell when the replacement is to be shipped.
I would not refer anyone to this product or company, the consumer relations is a joke, If I could get my money back I would take it and run....
NEVER AGAIN will I d any bussiness with this company!!!!!!!!!
Pros It dose work for a hole lot of things and the portable has come in handy on the go from time to time.
Cons There is really no way of telling if you device is done charging, or if it lost connection.
Summary I like it, and its not too bad of a product maybe a bit over priced but its really only good for a man at the office who needs to charge a few things with out a lot of plugs going everywhere. or some one who is on the go all the time and dose not really feel like unplugging all of his chargers for a trip when he can just grab this. So take it from someone who is on the go a lot, this is a useful devise, but only if you need it.
Pros It eliminates the need for multiple chargers
Cons It renders an iPod touch virtually useless. The adapter case is next to impossible to remove once installed and blocks the sync port on the iPod. This prohibits docking with powered speakers.
Summary Calls to support took forever to answer. Once answered, their rep told me their product is a charger, and the fact that their cases blocked off the ability of the Touch to dock with powered speakers was "not their problem." The fact that removing the case once installed requires a sharp knife and pliers didn't seem to phase the rep either. I returned it. There are much better, less expensive alternatives out there. I wish CNET had done a review before I wasted my money. I would have given this a 0 star rating but my mouse wouldn't cooperate
