Pros everything about it is brilliant
Cons nothing except a little heat problem though excellently dealt with asus board
Pros For system builders, there is not a better price point to performance metric than this processor
Can be overclocked, but mobo will make things tricky - always check power consumption & power supply. Increase in CPU clock speed equates to direct incre
Cons That I had to wait so long to get it.... that's all.
Summary The X6 1100T may be out, but for performance and price, wait till that CPU gets overshadowed by the next generation and THEN think of buying it. Unlike INTEL, which until recently has let its CPUs do a major portion of the heavy lifting (like little fondu cookers), AMD seemlessly passes off OpenGL to discrete GPUs for far less $$$.
If you like running Photoshop CS5, Excel 2010, iTunes 10 and about 10 other things all at once, then get this CPU
Pros Powerful CPU at a great price point. Runs VMware ESXi 4.0 very well.
Cons The Phenom II X6 1090T is out now.
Summary I bought the 965 with a motherboard combo and run VMware ESXi 4.0 on it. It runs fantastic and allows me to run multiple operating sytems at the same time. The price was great and I am very happy with the performance.
