"Huge expense for broken lamp $399.00"
Pros: Picture quality OK Easy installation
Cons: $399.00 is high price to pay for a lamp Lamp warranty 90 days even under extended warranty Lamp lasted about 1000 hours - specifications say it should last 6000

"Gateway is working through production problems"
Pros: I have owned this for about a month now. Compared to the Samsung DLP rear screen this is $1000 cheaper. Great picture. Fine remotes.
Cons: It has not worked correctly since I bought it. They sent Their repair people and they could not fix it. They sent me a new unit, and the new one has the same problem the old one did. It goes blank and resets itself constantly. I am an electrical engin
