Pros: great looking set, does better with analog cable than other LCD/DLP TV's.
Cons: Has a strange defect in the screen that was identical in pattern. switch the tv to menu, then setup, the screensaver..then go to wipe, which gives you an all white screen, what I saw on all the tvs lookied like grease marks that were not burnt pixles but

Pros: great looking unit, nice tuner, great support from hitachi
Cons: could not fix problems with screen(water marks on sides) the lcd seem to be going in and out of focus vertical lines on screen come and go and a new blob had developed in the middle of the screen. finally had to just return the unit

"JVC HD-52Z575 D-ILA's only competition"
Pros: Clearly, a 3-chip system is the way projection television must go...and LCD kicks the crap out of DLP any day. More bells and whistles than JVC.
Cons: Set's stand doesn't swivel like JVC's. Lamp doesn't have the lifespan of JVC (but then, none do)
