    "Best purchase I have made!"

    Pros: The set is very bright, loaded with options, and is very aesthetic looking. I was very happy with the speaker performance, and contrary to other reviews, you can not hear teh fan while the tv is on.

    Cons: Black levels arent as rich as plasma perhaps, and I do not like the gray side bars in the 4:3 aspect ratio.

    Summary: Hitachi is a great brand, and this is a great unit, would buy it all over again.
