"2 years and going strong"
Pros: HD programs displayed beautifully, reliable set
Cons: Delay in remote response, possible early bulb failure
Summary: I' been using this set for a approximately 2 years after purchasing it new in a local retailer with extended warranty.
Pros: High Def programs are displayed beautifully. Watching sports or discovery programs make me feel like I'm there. Mass amounts of connections in the rear ensure you can connect any video device you wish. HDMI and RGB connections ensure you have a choice. The picture-in-picture works very well. Bulb life is great, haven't replaced mine and the set is on for a least 5 hours each weekday and almost all day on the weekends. The bulb indicator light came on and I simply reset it - bulb has not failed. The large screen is simple to clean with a damp cloth and does not scratch easily.
Cons: The TV has a delay in responding to the remote. It's not terribly slow, but noticeable. Bulb replacement will set you back about $200 - I understand this may be the general price range for projections sets, but I would think it could be cheaper.
Overall this is an excellent TV set and has served me well for the past couple of years - I suspect it will continue to do so for more.
