"Excellent!"
Pros: Crystal Clear HD Picture
Cons: Maybe A Little Pricey
Summary: I got the 56FH96 last week and hooked up to Time Warner Cable HD-DVR and a non-progressive scan DVD player via component cables through my A\V Receiver. The HD picture is unbelievable. The DVD picture, even w/o a progressive scan DVD, is excellent - not as good as HD but still excellent. Standard definition image is good - better than what I've seen on numerous DLP sets at the stores. The D-ILA (LCOS) technology eliminates the rainbows common to DLP sets and the screen door effect of LCD sets. This is as good as it gets.
You can use the speakers in the TV as the center channel of a surround sound system. So, even if you only have two speakers, you can get the center channel activated and have very good audio capability.
The styling of this TV is timeless. The plain perforated speaker covers and the brushed aluminum of the lower panel are understated and handsome. The TV is not overly stylized, which makes it much easier to integrate into any decor. And the absence of speakers to the sides of the screen yield a slim, non-intrusive profile.
I could not be happier with this TV and recommend that you check it out for yourself.
