"A few flaws, but otherwise a great TV"
Pros: Aesthetics, picture quality
Cons: Input switching, known HDMI issues, service, menus
Summary: I've had this TV for 8 weeks and it has been in the shop for almost 3 of those weeks. The HDMI inputs stopped working after a few weeks. My local authorized JVC service center said that this is a known problem and was able to repair it quickly (I called on a Wednesday, they picked it up the next Monday, and called to say it was fixed 2 days later). Unfortunately, it took 2 weeks for them to put in on a truck and bring it back to my home. Immediately after turning it on, I notice hair and dirt projected onto the screen. I immediately called the service center and they picked it up 5 days later. It's currently gone and I don't know when its going to be back.
I'm not sure if I would buy this - or any big screen TV - again. I've never had any issues with any CRT TV I have ever owned and I am extremely disappointed that such an expensive product has so many issues.
Repair issues aside, I find the menu system to be incredibly tedious. Input selection is simply unacceptable. The picture is great when the source signal is good, but SD signals are almost unwatchable.
