JVC HD-61Z575

Summary: i've owned this set since april 2005. i have the 61" in a room w/ 20' ceilings and 2 skylights above as well as the back full of glass. set does very well in light. also represents blacks well. not incredibly heavy for size. doesn't take up much depth. overall, very happy w/ purchase. don't know what else i could've bought for same $ that would've made me happier. shopped for 6 months before purchasing. do it.
the only issue is w/ the lamps. if you turn the set on, leave it on for at least a few hours and don't plan on turning it back on until it's been off for a few hours. if you don't let the lamp cool COMPLETELY off, it'll blow the lamp ($250!!!). i've done it. then i read the manual. if you turn it on, leave it on all day.

Summary: The color on this TV is ultimate and viewing angle is very good no glare even if I have more light in the room. Good Price less than 3K. Watching games, and movies using DVD wired with Component video cabling is ultimate. Enjoy the fun on this TV.
